The verdict, pronounced Monday by judge Njideka Nwosu-Iheme, closed a judicial case opened in June 2022, following the death of the singer on April 8, 2022.
The magistrate rejected the acquittal request filed by the accused, recognizing him guilty of voluntary homicide. .Peter Nwachukwu was prosecuted for 23 charges, including acts of recurring domestic violence, children's mistreatment and criminal threats. .During the trial, the prosecution mobilized 17 witnesses, including two of the couple's children, bringing key elements to the investigation.
