Belgian coach Marc Brys prosecuted in front of FIFA for unpaid by his agent.
Belgian coach Marc Brys, coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, is at the heart of a financial dispute with his agent, Ivo Chi. .The latter officially seized FIFA for the recurring non-payment of commissions related to the contract of his client at the head of the Cameroonian selection, reveals the Flemish media *Voetbalnieuws *.
.According to disclosed information, Ivo Chi would demand more than 73 million FCFA (around 112,000 euros), corresponding to 10% of wages ** over the remaining 25 months of the Marc Brys contract. The case is said to be under examination by the world football body.
.In October 2023, the agent's lawyer had already notified the Belgian technician, demanding the settlement of this sum. In response, BRYS would have paid 11.39 million FCFA (or 7,363 euros), covering commissions of 10% over four months' salary. .However, the dispute persists around the amounts due for the residual duration of the contract.
Appointed in April 2023 at the head of Cameroon, Marc Brys thus crossed an unprecedented legal storm, while FIFA must decide on the validity of complaints from Ivo Chi. .No official reaction has yet been communicated by the parties concerned. A case to follow.
